1. Prayers (without prayers, surely this unique mission will never be properly accomplished)
2. Financial Assistance: Currently our most pressing need is to raise funds for the modular homes. These homes will allow us to move on-site and to accept 4 new vocations.

Financial Assistance

Our Lady of Solitude Monastery is incorporated as a non-profit organization.  Therefore donations are tax-deductible.  There are several different ways to offer financial assistance.  Please consider the following:

  • Gifts of Cash (credit card donations accepted - see below.  Or checks may be made payable to "Our Lady of Solitude Building Fund" and mailed to us at: P.O. Box 92, Black Canyon City, AZ, 85324)

  • Gifts of Appreciated Securities

  • Gifts of Real Estate

  • Gifts by Will

  • Charitable Trusts

  • Corporate Matching Gifts

Memorial Donations: Some friends have expressed an interest in donation for a Chapel Appointment, with the intention of having it be a type of memorial donation in memory of a family member or friend.  Depending upon the various appointments, it is possible to have a memorial plaque or dedication attached to the item.  For more information about this, please email Sr. Marie André at desertnuns@msn.com

Dedicated Funds for Specific Parts of the Monastery: We are currently at the point where we are getting the cost break-down for the specific areas of the Monastery.  Some of expressed an interest in donating for one of the Sisters' cells or towards the Community Room or Refectory in particular.  If this interests you, please contact Sr. Marie André at desertnuns@msn.com
