On behalf of Mother Marie Andre and Sr. Marie St. Paul, we are requesting prayers for their sister, Heather Campbell Lattin. Since May 2017, Heather has been battling brain cancer. Today she began hospice care. Please join us in praying for Heather, in a special way asking St. Joseph’s intercession (below is Mother Marie Andre’s favorite prayer to him).
We ask your prayers for her husband Bill and their son 1st Lt. Liam C. Lattin, USAF, as well as for Norman and Barbara Campbell, Erin Campbell and of course Mother Andre and Sr. Marie St. Paul. On behalf of the Lattin and Campbell families, thank you for your prayers for Heather.
Oh St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your divine son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, our Lord; so that having engaged here below your heavenly power I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers. Oh St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss his fine head for me, and ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen.
United in prayer with us tonight here in England before our Eucharistic Lord in a special 24 hours Lenten Penitential Liturgy as we say the Prayer of St. Pio of Pietrelcina after Holy Communion for this special intention.
Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have
You present so that I do not forget You.
You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak
and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life,
and without You, I am without fervour.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light,
and without You, I am in darkness.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear
Your voice and follow You.
Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You
very much, and always be in Your company.
Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.
Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is,
I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of love.
Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the day is coming to a close, and life passes; death, judgment, eternity approaches. It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need You.
It is getting late and death approaches,
I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows.
O how I need You, my Jesus, in this night of exile!
Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all its dangers. I need You.
Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the bread,
so that the Eucharistic Communion be the Light which disperses the darkness,
the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.
Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to You, if not by communion, at least by grace and love.
Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation, because I do not merit it, but the gift of Your Presence, oh yes, I ask this of You!
Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more.
With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth
and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen.
O God of resurrection, who raised Jesus Christ from the dead, we pray to you on behalf of all who are dying this day. May they know the comfort of your presence, the power of your love to give life even in the face of death, and the hope of your salvation. May they be blessed with the presence of family and friends to banish their lonliness and fears, the love of those who care for them to ease their pain, and the hope of always being remembered by those who they have loved. All this we ask through the one who died for us that we might live, Jesus Christ, our Savior, Amen!
May this prayer shawl be for you a sign of God’s healing presence. A prayer was said with every stitch. May it warm you when you are weary, may it surround you to ease your suffering, may it encircle you with caring when you are in pain. God Bless and Angels around you. Amen
