Requiescant in Pace

Let us remember to pray for the blessed repose of the soul of long time friend Deacon Bill Steltemier, who died on Feb. 15th after a lengthy illness.  It’s hard to hear the words: “Thank You Jesus!” without hearing Deacon’s Bill’s voice saying them!  This was his constant refrain – in good times an in bad.  “Thank You, Jesus”, he would day with a thick southern accent and a smile.  It was his answer for everything.

He and Mother Angelica were long time friends, meeting in the late 70’s.  Deacon Bill played a pivotal part in the genesis and continuing mission of EWTN.  His kindness to our community will not be forgotten. As we grieve his passing, let us remember in our prayers as well his beautiful and devoted wife, Ramona.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.  May Deacon Bill rest in peace…

  1. Lorrie A Mac Gregor says:

I always loved when Deacon Bill gave the homily.
He was very genuine and gentle when he delivered a sermon.

He always had that joyful look as if he was in touch with The Holy Spirit.
I doubt there will be another Deacon Bill to come.
He was a breath of fresh air and truly blessed by Our Lord.

Now I am aware to always say ” Thank You Jesus”

    Grant Eternal peace unto him.

    Lorrie A. MacGregor
