Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice greatly with her all you who mourn over her. For this is what the Lord says: “I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees.

As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.  When you see this, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants.”

Isaiah 66:10-14

On December 29, 2015 (Feast of St. Thomas Becket) – in the Jubilee Year of Mercy, by decree of the Holy See dated May 16, 2015, Our Lady of Solitude Monastery became an autonomous monastery of Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration, in the Diocese of Phoenix.

Rev. Mother Marie Andre was appointed Abbess.

Sr. Marie St. Paul was appointed Vicar.

Sr. Mary Fidelis was appointed Councilor.

These three Sisters have been part of the Foundation since it’s conception in 2005 and rejoice with gratitude in this new chapter of the our Community’s history.  A special thanks to His Excellency, Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted, for his constant support, counsel, prayers, and leadership.  And to all the priests, deacons, religious, and laity in the Diocese of Phoenix and beyond who welcomed us in 2005, have supported us to this day, and who entrust to us their prayers: THANK YOU!

In calling you God says to you: ‘You are important to me, I love you, I am counting on you’. Jesus says this to each one of us! Joy is born from that! The joy of the moment in which Jesus looked at me. Understanding and hearing this is the secret of our joy. Feeling loved by God, feeling that for him we are not numbers but people; and we know that it is he who is calling us. – Pope Francis
