On February 11th, 2022, Sr. Mary Brigid of the Good Shepherd, PCPA, made her First Profession of Holy Vows.  It was a day of GREAT JOY!  Sister was blessed to have family and friends come from all over the country to celebrate, not to mention how all of Heaven must have rejoiced on this day (especially given her deep and abiding love for the communion of Saints!).

The Divine Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, received Sister’s “holocaust” (see Vita Consecrata, 17)!  May the fire of His love burning in her heart bring light, warmth, and salvation to a world in need.

“Honestly, the vocation to the religious life is such a great gift that it confuses the person chosen. God fixes His gaze on a poor soul so that she can live with Him and in Him, and in that way help Him save the world. That really is crazy… but, blessed craziness! We would be crazy if we did not respond to what God asks of each one of us, because what He asks is the best for us. We have been created for great things, not for comfort.” – Sr. Clare Crockett, written testimony

Sr. Mary Brigid’s First Profession!

“The Consecrated Life, deeply rooted in the example and teaching of Christ the Lord, is a gift of God the Father to his Church through the Holy Spirit. By the profession of the evangelical counsels the characteristic features of Jesus — the chaste, poor, and obedient one — are made constantly “visible” in the midst of the world and the eyes of the faithful are directed towards the mystery of the Kingdom of God already at work in history, even as it awaits its full realization in heaven.” – Pope St. John Paul II, Vita Consecrata
