We first met Bishop Olmsted in late 2004 – having been invited by him to begin a Foundation of our Order in his Diocese.  Looking back on those first encounters with Bishop Olmsted, all of us were struck by his profound faith, his great kindness, and his enthusiastic love for Our Lord, His Church, the desert, and our little band of nuns.  His confidence in God’s Providence bolstered our own courage as we set about establishing this Foundation and building the Chapel and Monastery.

All along the journey of these last 18 years, Bishop Olmsted has accompanied us with his wisdom, prayers, guidance, and pastoral care.  In moments of triumph and in times of trial, he has shepherded and formed us.

Bishop Olmsted, thank you!  Thank you for your witness, your zeal, and your wholehearted devotion to Jesus Christ and His Church.  Thank you for leading the Diocese of Phoenix and ushering in a new Pentecost here.  Thank you for inviting us to your Diocese, to labor in this vineyard through our Eucharistic Adoration and Intercession.  Thank you for your support and friendship.  As we look forward to welcoming our new Bishop in early August, we offer you our heartfelt and eternal thanks!
